Field Description - Other Pay Exemptions

The Other Pay Exemptions determine if the Other Pay Amount Paid is exempt from tax and retirement withholding calculations.  The exemptions reduce the taxable earnings for the respective withholding type.  You can specify the exemptions that are associated with an Other Pay Code during Other Pay Master Maintenance.  The following exemptions are available:

• Federal Tax Withholding

• FICA Withholding

• State Tax Withholding

• Retirement Withholding

• Federal Unemployment Tax Authority (FUTA) Withholding

• State Unemployment Tax Authority (SUTA) Withholding

Note:  If the system has accumulated Other Pay Earnings Totals, you can not maintain the values until after the Period End Clear for the year.
