Fixed Assets Department

Use Fixed Assets Department Maintenance to maintain descriptions for the departments in your organization.  The department descriptions maintained here can be used during Fixed Assets maintenance.

 

Directions:

 

1.  Click Fixed Assets from the Menu.

2.  Click Maintenance.

3.  Click Department.

Department

Enter a unique identifier for the Department and click Retrieve .  (up to 60 characters)

To display an existing department, enter the department and click Retrieve.

Or, to look for a department, click Search .  From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete.  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + r]

Tip:  If you are building a new department, New New Record displays near the department.  Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information.

To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER].

Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

CAUTION

To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

Deleting a Department

 

1.  Enter the Department and click Retrieve .

Tip
:  To find the department, click Search .

2.  Click File from the Menu, and next click Delete.
Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [d]

3.  At the Delete Records prompt, click Yes to delete the record, or click No to escape from the delete routine.
