Field Description - Application Options Exception Model
This topic last opened by author on May 5, 2010 at 6:31 PM.
The Application Options Exception Model setting specifies the time period in customer history to compare for exceptions to report on the Billing Exception Report. The Billing Exception Report searches the customer history specified by the exception model for customer usage that matches the criteria listed below. Then, the history usage is compared to the present usage using the Billing Variance formula. Any variances are reported on the Billing Exception Report. In addition, this setting can determine the type of calculations for exception reporting.
Edifice searches the history specified by the exception model for customer usage that matches the following:
Service Connection Reference ID (if no connection, looks for a matching Meter ID)
Status of active
Usage > 0 (greater than zero)
Exception Model Choices:
Year Plus 3 - Goes back one year from the Billing Present Reading Date in history then searches forward three months in the history for a Billing Post Date (that matches the month and year determined by the Present Reading Date plus 3 months) for customer usage history that matches the above criteria.
Example: Customer Present Reading Date = 04/09/2010. Exception report searches history for customer billing history with posting date of 07/09.
Year Frequency - Goes back one year from the Billing Present Reading Date in history then searches forward in the history the number of months in the billing cycle based on the Billing Frequency for a Billing Post Date (that matches the month and year determined by the Present Reading Date and the months in the billing cycle) for customer usage history that matches the above criteria.
Example: Customer Present Reading Date = 04/09/2010, Billing Frequency = 12 (monthly), exception report searches history for customer billing history with posting date of 05/09.
Current Frequency - Goes back from the Billing Present Reading Date the number of months in the billing cycle based on the Billing Frequency, then searches forward to the present for a Billing Post Date (that matches month and year determined by the Present Reading Date and the Billing Frequency) for customer usage history that matches the above criteria.
Example: Customer Present Reading Date = 04/09/2010, Billing Frequency = 12 (monthly), exception report searches history for customer billing history with posting date of 03/10.

[kWH`L/(D`L)]xD`C
[kWH`Y/(1.2xD`Y)+kWH`L/(6xD`L)]xD`C
[kWH`L/(D`L)]xD`C
