Power Factor Maintenance
Use Power Factor Maintenance to maintain information that is used for power factor calculations. Power factor calculations are used for generating billing amounts for certain types of electrical customers.
Notes:
To generate power factor calculations, you must assign a power factor ID to the appropriate transaction code.
To create a transaction code for calculating power factors, set the following fields:
Assign a power factor ID to the transaction code power factor field.
Set the transaction code's special handling to Power Factor.
Set the transaction code's calculation type to Flat.
Assign the
power factor transaction code to the appropriate billing
transaction profile.
Tip: The power factor transaction code must be maintained
in the Profile list ahead of the usage-based transaction codes.
To open:
1. Click Daily Work from the menu.
2. Click File Maintenance.
3. Click Code Maintenance.
4. Click Miscellaneous Maintenance.
5. Click Power
Factor Maintenance.

To create a new power factor enter the unique identification to be assigned to the power factor and press [ENTER] or click Retrieve . (up to 5 characters) To view all of the power factors, click Search . From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + r] Tip: To indicate that you are building a new Power Factor, New displays near the Power Factor ID. Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information. |

To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + s] |

Enter an abbreviated title of the power factor. (up to 20 characters) |

Enter the full description of the power factor. (up to 40 characters) |

Enter the power factor basis. (2.5 numeric) |

Enter the power factor variation. (2.5 numeric) |

Enter the power factor multiplier. (6.5 numeric) |

Deleting a Power Factor |
1. Enter the power
factor ID to delete and click Retrieve
, or press
[ENTER]. 2. Click File
from the menu,
and next click Delete. 3. At the Delete prompt,
click Proceed to delete
the record, or click Cancel
to escape from the delete routine.
