Line Item Labels Table Maintenance

Use Line Item Labels Table Maintenance to maintain the field labels for the user-defined fields that are an optional part of Line Item Maintenance.  While there are six alpha and six numeric fields that you can define, you only define as many fields as you need.

• Opening Line Item Labels Table Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Daily Work from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click File Maintenance.

  3.  Click Table Maintenance.

  4.  Click Line Item Labels Table.
  
  Tip:  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [y] [m] [t] [i].

• Creating a New Line Item Labels Table, click More.

   

  IMPORTANT:  You can not create a new Line Item Labels Table.  The necessary table is created during the software installation and updates.  To maintain the Line Item Labels Table, see the instructions for editing later in this topic.

   

• Editing an Existing Line Item Labels Table, click More.

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save the changed record.

  1. To display the record to be changed, simply open Line Item Labels Table Maintenance.  The record automatically displays.

  2. To position the mouse to the field to be edited, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  3. Enter the data changes.

  4. To complete the edit process, click Save or press [ENTER].

  Line Item Label Table Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	Search is not active for this program.
  	Retrieve is not required in this program.
  Note:  While there are six alpha and six numeric fields available, you only define as many as you need.
  Alpha Field Label field 1 - 6	Enter the label of the alpha field. (up to 20 characters)
  Numeric Field Label field 1 - 6	Enter the label of the numeric field. (up to 20 characters)

   

• Deleting an Existing Line Item Labels Table, click More.

   

  Important:  To maintain data integrity, you can not delete the Line Item Labels Table.  However, you can delete a field label within the table.

  To delete a field within the Line Item Table:

  1. To position the pointer to the field that you want to delete, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  2. Press [DELETE] or [BACKSPACE] to remove the entire field label.

  3. To complete the field delete, click Save or press [ENTER].
