Payment Receipt Message Table Maintenance

Use Receipt Message Table Maintenance to maintain the header and footer messages printed on receipts for customer payments.  The Receipt Message Table is used during Cash Receipts Entry.

• Opening Payment Receipt Message Table Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Daily Work from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click File Maintenance.

  3.  Click Table Maintenance.

  4.  Click Payment Tables.

  5.  Click Payment Receipt Message Table.
  
  Tip:  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [y] [m] [t] [p] [m].

• Creating the Receipt Message Table, click More.

   

  Tip:  To indicate that you are building a new Payment Receipt Message Table, New  displays near the Messages table name.  Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information.

  Receipt Message Table Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Title	Enter the table title, for example  HEADER MSG. (up to 14 characters)
  Description	Enter a table description such as, CASH RECEIPT HEADER/FOOTER MESSAGE. (up to 79 characters)
  Messages
  Header	Enter the words you wish to appear at the top of the printed Cash Receipt. (up to 38 characters)
  Footer	Enter the words you wish to appear at the bottom of the printed Cash Receipt. (up to 38 characters)
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save a new or changed record.

   

• Editing an existing Receipt Message Table, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1. To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  2. Enter the data changes.

  3. To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].
     Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

   

• Deleting an existing Receipt Message Table, click More.

   

  Note:  The Delete command is not available for the Payment Receipt Message Table.
