View Book Sequences

Use View Book Sequences to look up a customer's sequence number or to see which accounts are surrounding each other in the sequence order.  Or, you can generate a list of all books and their corresponding sequence numbers by leaving Book Number field blank.  In addition, you can print this information (in either format) if desired.

To see directions for...

• Opening View Book Sequences, click More.

   

  1.  Click Daily Work from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click File Maintenance.

  3.  Click View Book Sequences.
  
  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [y] [m] [s].

• Viewing View Book Sequence, click More.

   

  To look up a customer's sequence:

  Book Number
  	Press [Enter] or click this button to retrieve.   Or, click to close out of this program.
  	Displays an incremental count of accounts with sequence numbers for this book.
  	Displays an incremental count of the number of books currently set up.
  	A list of all Accounts with their sequence ID, Company 1 #, and Company 2 # displays for your reference.
  	Click this button to close out of this routine.

  View Book Sequences Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Book Number	Enter the number of the book you are looking at sequences for (2.0).   Or, leave blank to list all books and their corresponding sequence IDs.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	To display an existing customer address, enter the Address ID and click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Number of Sequences	Enter the defined Address Code ID to assign as the customer additional address. (up to 5 characters) Or, press [TAB], to omit the Address Code ID and to manually enter the customer name and address. Tips: To search for an Address Code ID, click or press [CTRL + f]. To create a new Address Code ID, click or press [CTRL + o]. If you assign an Address Code ID, the First Name through Zip fields become inactive.
  Number of Books	Enter the First Name for the person to include on the customer additional address. (up to 40 characters) Note:  If you specify an Address Code ID for the customer additional address, this field is assigned.  However, it does not display at this time nor can it be edited.
  View Book Sequences	Enter the Middle Name or Initial for the person to include in the customer additional address. (2 characters) Note:  If you specify an Address Code ID for the customer additional address, this field is assigned.  However, it does not display at this time nor can it be edited.

   

• Viewing all Books option, click More.

   

  All Books Option

  You may get a list of all books and their corresponding sequence numbers by leaving Book Number field blank.  Press [Enter] and a list will display showing All Books with their starting Sequence ID and ending Sequence ID.  

  Once this list displays and you wish to view specific accounts within a book on this list, select the desired book by double clicking on its number.  The screen changes to its original format and lists the specific accounts within this book.
