Meter Change Out Workfile Maintenance

Use Meter Change Out Workfile Maintenance to delete individual meters from the Change Out workfile that was generated during the Meter Change out Create Workfile routine.  For example, you can use this routine to remove a meter from the workfile if the meter has recently been changed out.

Notes:  

• You can not add or edit a meter during Meter Change Out Workfile Maintenance.

• To perform a meter change out, use the Change Out Connection Wizard.

• You can use this routine to print a simple listing of the meters to be changed out.

• Opening Meter Change Out Workfile Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Processes from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Meter Change Out.

  3.  Click Workfile Maintenance.

• Creating a New Meter Change Out Record, click More.

   

  Note:  Meter Change Out Workfile Maintenance is for viewing and deleting meter change out records only.  You can not create new meter change out record through this maintenance.

   

• Displaying an existing Meter Change Out Record, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  To display the record to be changed, enter the Reference ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  
  Tip:  If you do not know the Reference ID, you can click Search  to see a list of meters.

  2.  To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  3.  Enter the data changes.

  4.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

  Meter Change Out Workfile Maintenance Field Descriptions Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Reference ID	Enter the unique identification for the meter. (up to 12 characters)
  	Note:  Save is not available during this maintenance.
  	To view all of the existing meter change out records, click Search.  From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + r]
  	To display an existing meter change out record, enter the Reference ID and click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Tip:  The following fields display for your verification.
  Service	Displays the service for the meter.
  Install Date	Displays the date the meter was installed.
  Location ID	Displays the Location ID of the meter.
  Responsible ID	Displays the identification of the responsible party.
  Status	Displays the account status of the customer responsible for the meter.

   

• Printing a list of connections to be changed out, click Search.

• Deleting an Existing Meter Change Out Record, click More.

   

  1.  To display the record to be deleted, enter the Reference ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Tip:  If you do not know the Reference ID, you can click Search  to see a list of meters.

  2.  Click File from the Menu Bar, and next click Delete.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [d]

  3.  At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
