Meter Testing Workfile Maintenance

Use Meter Testing Workfile Maintenance to maintain information about the testing of customers' meters.  You can maintain the meter test date, the test results, and the code for the technician who performs the test.  In addition, after you have created the meter testing workfile you can use this maintenance to print a list of the meters that are due to be tested.

• Opening the Meter Testing Workfile Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Processes from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Meter Testing.

  3.  Click Workfile Maintenance.

• Printing a list of Meters to be tested, click More.

   

  1.  To print a list of meters to be tested, click Search .

  2.  Click File menu.

  3.  Click Print.

  4.  To begin printing to the Windows® default printer, click Print , or press [ENTER].

   

• Creating a New Meter Testing record, click More.

   

  To create a new record choose one of these methods:

  • Enter the new Meter ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
    Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]

  • Or, enter the new Meter ID and click File from the Menu Bar; next click New.
    Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [n]

  Tip:  To indicate that you are building a new Meter Testing record, New  displays near the Meter ID.  Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information.

  Meter Testing Workfile Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Meter ID	Enter the unique identification for the meter. (up to 10 characters)
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	To view all of the existing meter testing records, click Search.  From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + r]
  	To display an existing meter testing record, enter the Meter ID and click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Technician	Enter the Code for the technician who performs the meter test.  (up to 7 characters)
  Tester Number	Enter the informational tester number, if applicable. (up to 10 characters)
  Test Status	To assign the test status, click a choice in the drop-down list.
  Test Date	Enter the date the meter test is performed. (mmddccyy, slashes and century optional)
  Test Accuracy	Enter the value for the meter test accuracy, if applicable. (6.5 numeric)
  Reference	Enter a reference for the meter test, if applicable. (up to 60 characters)

   

• Maintaining the Meter Test Date, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  To display the appropriate meter, enter the Meter ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].

  Tip:  If you do not know the Meter ID, you can click Search  to see a list of Meter Testing records.

  2.  Enter the Technician Code for the technician who performed the test.

  3.  Enter the Tester Number, if applicable.

  4.  Click to select the Test Status.

  5.  Enter the Test Date and a reference.

  6.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

• Editing an Existing Meter Testing record, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  To display the record to be changed, enter the Meter ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  
  Tip:  If you do not know the Meter ID, you can click Search  to see a list of Meter Testing records.

  2.  To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  3.  Enter the data changes.

  4.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

• Deleting an Existing Meter Testing record, click More.

   

  1.  To display the record to be deleted, enter the Meter ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Tip:  If you do not know the Meter ID, you can click Search  to see a list of meter test history records.

  2.  Click File from the Menu Bar, and next click Delete.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [d]

  3.  At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
