Electronic Registration Export Procedure

Follow these steps to export electronic vehicle registration information to a file in preparation for exporting to the state of Maine DMV.

Note:  For additional information on exporting motor vehicle data to the DMV, see INVISION Motor Vehicle Registration Electronic Registration Export Import Instructions.

1.  Perform the Vehicle Receipts Post.

2.  Perform the Daily/Cycle Update.

3.  Run the Electronic Registration Export Create Work File routine to create a work file of the vehicle registration information to be sent to the state.

4.  Run the Data Verification Report to reconcile the information in the export work file with the Town Detail Report.

5.  Make any corrections necessary so that the information in the work file reconciles with the information on the Town Detail report.  After you make corrections, run the Data Verification Report again.

6.  Run the Electronic Registration Export to export the electronic registration information to a file on a PC.

7.  Following the directions from the state finalize the export procedure by communicating with the state.
