Electronic Registration Import

Use the Electronic Registration Import routine to import the motor vehicle registration information from the state of Maine to the electronic registration import workfile in the Invision Motor Vehicle Registration Workbench.  You can print an exception report that lists any electronic registration information that was not imported because it contains errors.

Notes:  

• For more information on the timing and sequence of tasks, see Electronic Registration Import Procedure.

• The Electronic Registration Import is controlled by the Electronic Import Control record.

• At the end of the process, you can print the Electronic Registration Import exception report and review any errors or exceptions with the registration information.  Reasons why the electronic registration data from InforME is excluded from being imported and will print on the exception report:

• The InforME VIN is blank.

• The InforME record had no matching plate number, class code and vehicle year on file.

• The vehicle record has no current history record.

• It does not have a unique history record.

• Opening the Electronic Registration Import Routine, click More.

   

  1.  Click Tools from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Import.

  3.  Click Electronic Registration.

  4.  Click Import.

• Choosing the Selections at the Prompt Window, click More.

   

  Electronic Registration Import Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Import Control	To accept the displayed Import Control ID for the Electronic Registration Import process, press [Tab] or enter another Import Control. (up to 20 characters) Notes: The Import Control ID is maintained during Electronic Registration Import Control Maintenance. To search for an Import Control, click Search or press [CTRL + f].
  Source File	To accept the Import Control File Name (maintained during Electronic Registration Import Control Maintenance) as the source file, press [TAB].  Otherwise, enter another file name as the Source File. Note:  To search for a different source file, click Browse .
  	To run the routine and generate any exception report, click Proceed, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p]
  	To print the exception report to the Print View window, click here.
  	To escape from the routine without running it: Click Cancel. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + c] Or, click Close .
  Server Process Status	Displays information pertaining to the various phases of the Import routine to guide you.
  	Note:  The status displays Complete when the process is ended.  In addition, the Message window displays Process Ended and Time Ended to alert you when the routine is complete.
  	To close the Server Process Status window when the routine is complete, click Close .  Important:  Before closing the window, review all message that display and verify that the message Process Ended displays.
