Employee Master Maintenance - Notes Area

Use the Notes Area in Employee Master Maintenance to enter miscellaneous user-defined notes about the employee.  The table following the window example describes the Notes Area.

To display the Notes Area:

  1. Open Employee Master Maintenance.

  2. Click Notes in the Menu Tree.

Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.

Options:

  • To sort the fields by the Employee Note Field ID, click ID.

  • To change the sort from ascending order to descending order (or vice versa), click ID again.

Options:

  • To sort the fields by the Employee Note Field Name, click FN.

  • To change the sort from ascending order to descending order (or vice versa), click FN again.

To view the entire notes record for the employee, click Record Contents.

To print the Notes Record Report:

  1. Click Print.

  2. At the prompt, fill in the number of copies you want.

  3. To print to the Windows® default printer, click Print or press [ENTER].

    Or, to send the report to the Print View window, click Print View .

    Or, to close the window, click Cancel.

Window Example:

Note Field Name

Displays the name of the user-defined note field.

Note

Enter the text for each applicable note field.  (format varies)

To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER].

Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

CAUTION

To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

Delete Instructions

To delete all of the notes for an employee:

  1. Click File from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Delete.

  3. You will see the following prompt:


     

  4. To delete the notes, click Yes.
    Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + y]

  5. Or, to retain the notes, click No.
    Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + n]
