File Menu

The File menu contains commands used to manage the module files by saving, deleting or creating new records. In addition to file management commands, features like Print View and routines that affect the overall performance and appearance of the module are on this menu.

Directions:

To open the File menu from the Menu Bar, click File.
Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f]

File Menu Items
New	Allows a new record to be entered in the window currently open. Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f] [n]
Delete	Deletes the displayed record from the appropriate file. Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f] [d]
Save	Saves the displayed record to the appropriate file. Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f] [s]
Search	Searches the file and displays the items found. Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f] [r]
Clear	Clears the current data and returns to the choices available when first entering the window for this function. Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f] [c]
Sign On	Allows users to sign on to access programs within the module. This is a function of system security. Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f] [o]
Operator Lock	Allows users to temporarily lock their application from input.
System Settings	Allows setting of module parameters including printers, printing, appearance, styles and functionality of certain routines. Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f] [e]
Exit	Closes the module. Keyboard Shortcut: [ALT] [f] [x]
