Transaction Code Maintenance - Service Analysis Settings Window

Use the Service Analysis Settings Window to determine what data to include or exclude when running usage and consumption analysis reports.  These settings allow you to look at your data in a real-time fashion by accumulating usage totals from the transaction history.  The table following the window example describes the Service Analysis Settings Window for Transaction Code Maintenance.

Tips:  

• To use the Transaction Code Service Analysis Settings for certain reports, select the Transaction Analysis box at the report options window.  For example, to run the History Analysis Report using the Service Analysis Settings, select the Transaction Analysis box at the report prompts window.

• If you set the Service Analysis Settings to Default, the Company Type on the WBPARAM record and certain Transaction Code settings (Transaction Type, Special Handling flag, and the Credit/Debit flag) are used to determine whether to include or exclude analysis data.

• Generally, the Service Analysis Settings are set during installation and they do not change.

• Opening Transaction Code Maintenance Service Analysis Settings, click More.

   

  1.  Click Daily Work from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click File Maintenance.

  3.  Click Code Maintenance.

  4.  Click Transaction Code Maintenance.

  5.  Enter a valid Transaction Code ID.

  6.  Click Additional from the Transaction Code Maintenance Menu Bar.

  7.  Click Service Analysis Settings.

• Creating a New Service Analysis Settings record, click More.

   

  Tip:  A new record is automatically created when a Transaction Code is created.

  Transaction Analysis
  Usage	To specify if the Usage amounts for the Transaction Code are included or excluded in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Transaction Usage in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Transaction Usage from the analysis.
  Charge	To specify if the Charge amounts for the Transaction Code are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Transaction Code Charges in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Transaction Code Charges from the analysis.
  Class Analysis
  Usage	To specify if the Usage amounts for the customer Rate Class are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Rate Class Usage in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Rate Class Usage from the analysis.
  Charge	To determine if the Charge amounts for the customer Rate Class are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Rate Class Charges in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Rate Class Charges from the analysis.
  Zone Analysis
  Usage	To determine if the Usage amounts for the customer Pressure Zone are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Pressure Zone Usage in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Pressure Zone Usage from the analysis.
  Charge	To specify if the Charge amounts for the customer Pressure Zone are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Pressure Zone Charges in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Pressure Zone Charges from the analysis.
  Rate Analysis
  Usage	To specify if the Usage amounts for the Transaction Code's Rate Code are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Rate Code Usage in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Rate Code Usage from the analysis.
  Charge	To specify if the Charge amounts for the Transaction Code's Rate Code are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Rate Code Charges in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Rate Code Charges from the analysis.
  Service Analysis
  Usage	To specify if Service Code Usage amounts are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Service Code Usage in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Service Code Usage from the analysis.
  Charge	To specify if Service Code Charge amounts are included in the analysis, click a choice in the drop-down list. Entry Options: Default - Analyze data using the system level settings. Include - Include Service Code Charges in the analysis. Exclude - Exclude Service Code Charges from the analysis.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Close to close the Service Analysis Settings window.  Then at the Transaction Code Maintenance window, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

   

• Editing an Existing Service Analysis Settings record click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  The record to be changed displays automatically.

  2.  To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  3.  Enter the data changes.

  4.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

• Deleting an Existing Service Analysis Settings record, click More.

   

  Note:  The Delete Command is not available during this maintenance.
