Company Table Maintenance

Use Company Table Maintenance to customize EDIFICE to suit your needs.  Use the Company Table to maintain parameters that control certain functions such as, the type of cash receipts used, how daily interest is calculated and if lien or roll amounts are included in the customer's total balance.

Notes:  

• Do not confuse Company Table Maintenance with the Billing Company Information Table or with companies maintained during Company Maintenance.  They are three separate functions.

• Generally, the Company Table is set up prior to installation.  Once this information is set, you do not need to change it under normal operating conditions.

• This table is sometimes referred to as the UBCOMP table.

• Opening Company Table Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Daily Work from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click File Maintenance.

  3.  Click Table Maintenance.

  4.  Click Company Table.
  
  Tip:  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [y] [m] [t] [o].

   

  Company Table Maintenance Window Example:

  

• Creating a new Company Table, click More.

   

  Tip:  To indicate that you are building a new Company Table, New  displays near the UBCOMP table name.

  Company Table Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	Note:  The Search function is not available during Company Table Maintenance.
  	To display an existing Company Table, click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Interest Calculation Type	To select the type of daily interest calculation, click a choice in the drop-down menu.
  Receipt Type	To select the receipt type, click a choice in the drop-down menu. Note:  To print check endorsements, the Receipt Type must be set to Register Tape.
  Include Lien Amounts in Total Balance	To include lien amounts in the customer's Total Balance, click Yes in the drop-down list.   To exclude lien amounts from the customer's Total Balance, click No in the drop-down list.
  Include Roll Amounts in Total Balance	To include roll amounts in the customer's Total Balance, click Yes in the drop-down list.   To exclude roll amounts from the customer's Total Balance, click No in the drop-down list.

   

• Editing an existing Company Table, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1. To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  2. Enter the data changes.

  3. To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus.
     Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

   

• Deleting an existing Company Table, click More.

   

  The Delete Command is not available for Company Table Maintenance.
