Meter Labels Table Maintenance

Use Meter Labels Table Maintenance to maintain the field labels to the 3 user-defined alpha fields and the 5 user-defined numeric fields available during Meter Inventory Maintenance at the Meter Additional User definable Fields Window.  You can enter field labels that are meaningful to you, as the optional fields are designed for you to use for your specific needs.

Tips:  

• This table is sometimes referred to as the METERUSER record.

• For more information about working with data in fields, see Data Entry Guidelines.

Directions:

• Opening Meter Labels Table Maintenance, click More.

   

  • Click Daily Work from the Menu Bar, and next click File Maintenance; then click Table Maintenance, then click Meter Labels Table Maintenance.

  • Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [y] [m] [t] [t].

   

• Creating a new Meter Label Table, click More.

   

  To create a new record enter the following:

  Tip:  To indicate that you are building a new Meter Label Table, New  displays near METERUSER.  The first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information.

  Meter Labels Table Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	To display the Meter Label Table, click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Alpha Field Descriptions
  Alpha Description 1	Enter the description of the first user-defined alpha field, if applicable. (Up to 30 characters)
  Alpha Description 2	Enter the description of the second user-defined alpha field, if applicable. (Up to 30 characters)
  Alpha Description 3	Enter the description of the third user-defined alpha field, if applicable. (Up to 30 characters)
  Numeric Fields
  Numeric Description 1	Enter the description of the first user-defined numeric field, if applicable. (Up to 30 characters)
  Numeric Description 2	Enter the description of the second user-defined numeric field, if applicable. (Up to 30 characters)
  Numeric Description 3	Enter the description of the third user-defined numeric field, if applicable. (Up to 30 characters)
  Numeric Description 4	Enter the description of the fourth user-defined numeric field, if applicable. (Up to 30 characters)
  Numeric Description 5	Enter the description of the fifth user-defined numeric field, if applicable. (Up to 30 characters)

   

• Editing an existing Meter Label Table, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1. To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  2. Enter the data changes.

  3. To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].
     Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

   

• Deleting an existing Meter Label Table, click More.

   

  The Delete command is not available for Meter Labels Table Maintenance.
