Change Customer ID Wizard

Use the Change Customer ID Wizard to change the Customer ID for a customer account.  You can use this Wizard if you set up a customer account with the wrong Customer ID.  The only information that is changed during this routine is the Customer ID.

Directions:

To open from the Inquiry, click Tools and then click Wizards.  From the Wizards menu, click Change Customer ID.

Or click Daily Work from the Menu and then click File Maintenance, Wizard Maintenance, Customer and then click Change Customer ID.

Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [y] [m] [w] [ENTER] [c] [ENTER].

Changing a Customer ID

 IMPORTANT:  To avoid losing data, the wizard automatically saves your information when you click Finish .

1.  Open the Change Customer ID Wizard.  The first step displays in the Data Entry Panel.

2.  The customer is already loaded but you can enter another Customer ID if desired in the Data Entry Panel.
Tip
:  To Search for a Customer, click Search .

3.  To navigate to the Select New Customer ID step, click the name of the step in the Steps Area,
Or, click Next .

4.  Enter the new Customer ID for the customer.

5.  To finish entry and save the change Customer ID, click Finish , or press [ENTER].

Deleting a Customer ID

 Note:  This wizard only changes Customer IDs.  To delete Customer IDs, use the Remove Customer Wizard.
