Open Transactions Journal Instructions

Use the Open Transactions Journal Instructions to print a journal of all information in the Open Transaction file.  Use this journal to proof the transactions before running the Move Open Transactions routine to move the open transactions to the customer Billing Transactions file.

Tips:

• The Open Transactions Edit Journal and the Open Transactions Journal are two separate programs.  Use the Open Transactions Edit Journal to print selected open transactions and use the Open Transactions Journal to print ALL open transactions in the Open Transaction file.

• Maintain a final copy of the Journal for a complete audit trail.

• The report is available in the following formats:

• 80-Column Page Width:  Set during System Parameters at the Print tab.

• 132-Column Page Width:  Set during System Parameters at the Print tab.

• Opening the Open Transactions Journal, click More.

   

  1.  Click Daily Work Menu from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Open Transactions.

  3.  Click Transaction Journal.

• Choosing the selections at the prompt window, click More.

  Open Transactions Journal Prompt Options Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Sort	To choose a sort option, click to select the appropriate button. Sort Options: Book & Sequence - Sorts and prints billing transactions in customer Sequence Number order within Book Number order. Book & Account - Sorts and prints billing transactions in Customer ID order within Book Number order. Account - Sorts and prints billing transactions in Customer ID order. Service & Account - Sorts and prints billing transactions in Customer ID order within Service Code order.
  Service Tran Code Totals	To print Transaction Code totals for each Service Code, select this box.
  Company Tran Code Totals	To print the Transaction Code totals for each Company, select this box.
  Book Tran Code Totals	To print Transaction Code totals for each Book Number, select this box.
  Customer Class Totals	To print Transaction Code totals for each customer Rate Class, select this box.
  Arrears Totals	To report the Total Number of Arrears and the total of all customer Arrears Balances, select this box. To omit reporting the Arrears totals and the customer Arrears Balance totals, de-select this box.
  Billed Totals	To report the total number of customers Billed for each customer rate class, select this box. To omit reporting the total number of customers Billed, de-select this box.
  ERU Usage	To print the ERU Usage totals, if applicable, select this box.
  Standard Journal	To print the Standard Journal, select this box. Note:  This option prints several additional summary totals at the end of the journal.
  Sub-Total by Service	To print the subtotals for each Service, select this box.
  	To begin printing to the Windows™ default printer, click Print, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p]
  	To print to the Print View window, click here.
  	To escape from the print routine, click Cancel, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + c]

   

• Report Sample(s), click More.
