Field Description - Customer ID

The Customer ID is the key field that uniquely identifies the customer information including their demographic and general billing information.  The Customer ID is user-defined and can be either alpha-numeric or all numeric.  Edifice uses the Customer ID in many places to recall customer information especially during inquiries, Bill Entry and Cash Receipt Entry.

Note:  You must assign a Customer ID to everyone, including tenants paying for their own services and third parties.

Format:  up to 12 characters, Required.
