Edit Customer Alert Wizard

Use the Edit Customer Alert Wizard to create and edit alert messages for customers.  You can maintain a variety of information about the customer with the alert messages.  For example, you can maintain credit check information or notes from your phone conversations related to customer delinquent payments.  The alert message automatically displays in a variety of Utility Billing programs including the Enhanced Inquiry, Customer Inquiry, Bill Entry and Cash Receipts Entry.

 

Directions:

To open:

From the Enhanced Inquiry, load the customer and click Tools --> Wizards --> Customer Alert.

Or, from the Classic Inquiry, load the customer and then:

1.  Click Plus , to expand the Edit portion of the Wizard Menu.

2.  Click Customer Alert.

IMPORTANT:  To avoid losing data, the wizard automatically validates and saves your data when you click Finish .

Alert

Enter the customer's alert message.

To validate and save the data for the wizard, click Finish.  The wizard window closes when the save is complete.

Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

Tip:  Back and Next are not active for this step.

To close the wizard without validating or saving the data, click Close.
