Scheduling - Appointment Cancel Window

Use the Appointment Cancel Window in Scheduling to Appointment Cancel Window.  The table following the window example describes the Appointment Cancel Window.

Directions:

To display the Appointment Cancel Window:

  1. Open Scheduling.

  2. Open the Appointment Cancel Window using one of the following methods:

  3. In the Appointment Book Area, click to highlight the appointment to be cancelled, and then click Cancel on the Scheduling Toolbar.

  4. Or, click to highlight the appointment, and right-click to display the Scheduling Shortcut Menu.  Next, click Cancel Appointment.

  5. Or, at the Patient Appointments Window - Toolbar, highlight the appointment, and then click Cancel.

  6. Or, at the Scheduling - Floating Appointment Detail Window, highlight the appointment, and then click Cancel.

  7. Or, at the Scheduling - Check In Status Window, highlight the appointment, and then click Cancel.

Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.

Operator ID

Enter your Operator ID.  (up to 4 characters)

Tips:

  • The Operator Name displays for your reference.

  • The Operator ID may already be entered for you, depending on your profile settings.

Cancel Password

Enter the operator's password to allow the appointment to be canceled, if applicable.  (up to 8 characters)

Note:  The Cancel Password is only active if it is defined during Scheduling Operator Maintenance.

Cancel Code

Enter a valid defined Scheduling Cancel Code ID to indicate the reason for cancelling the appointment. (up to 8 characters)

Tips:

Update Patient Missed Appointment Count?

Displays the default value assigned to the Update Patient Missed Appointment option during Cancel Code Maintenance.

Entry Options:

  • To accept, press [TAB].

  • Or, to maintain a record of the canceled appointment, click Y(es) in the drop-down list.

  • To omit a record of the canceled appointment, click N(o) in the drop-down list.

Comment 1

Enter the first line of a comment pertaining to the canceled appointment, if applicable. (up to 55 characters)

Comment 2

Enter the second line of a comment pertaining to the canceled appointment, if applicable. (up to 55 characters)

To commit the canceled appointment to the schedule, click Commit or press [ENTER].

Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + o]

To omit canceling the appointment, click Cancel.

Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + c]
