Reading Tools Menu

The Reading Tools menu contains commands used for retrieving consumption readings and printing letters notifying customers about their service consumption.

Directions:

To open the Reading Tools menu, click the following sequence:
Daily Work from the menu, next Billing; and then click Reading Tools.

Reading Tools Menu Items
Consumption Maintenance	Allows consumption readings to be edited. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [y] [b] [r] [r] [c]
Consumption Summary Report	Reports the customers in the Consumption workfile and their usage. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [y] [b] [r] [r] [o]
Import Exception Maintenance	Note: WebHelp for this topic is currently not available.
Extract Consumption	Creates a workfile of customer consumptions that are extracted from a specific time in history for a selected service. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [y] [b] [r] [r] [e]
Extract Interim Consumption	Creates a workfile of customer consumptions that are extracted from a specific time in history for a selected service, accumulates the usage, and divides it by the number of billing periods. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [y] [b] [r] [r] [i]
XML Consumption Letter	Creates XML customer consumption letters with their information from the Consumption file. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [y] [b] [r] [r] [x]
