Cash Transaction Profile Maintenance
Use Cash Transaction Profile Maintenance to maintain groups of customer related transaction codes which are used to generate cash receipt transactions. Cash Transaction Profiles are used in a similar fashion as billing transaction profiles. Generally, you assign a Cash Transaction Profile to each service you bill, although you can assign a Cash Transaction Profile to each individual customer.
You determine which transaction codes to include in a Cash Transaction Profile, depending on how you want to track different items. For example, you can have a Cash Transaction Profile consisting of one payment transaction code and you can have a separate Cash Transaction Profile consisting of a lien interest payment transaction code, an interest payment transaction code, a lien payment transaction code, a regular payment transaction code, a lien cost payment transaction code, and an unapplied credits transaction code.
Notes:
If you bill multiple services, you need to maintain separate Cash Transaction Profiles for each service.
To assign a Cash Transaction Profile to each service, perform Service Settings Maintenance.
Or, to assign a default Cash Transaction Profile to a customer, use the Create Customer Wizard at the Create Customer Step 6 window.
To limit your search to only Cash Transaction Profiles for a specific service code, enter the Service Code and then click Search.
