Period End Clear

Use the Period End Clear routine to clear the Usage Totals fields at the end of the period, the quarter, or the year.  This program clears the appropriate usage totals on the meters, the meter trailers, and the components.  It also clears the usage totals for the transaction codes, the rates, the pressure zones, and for the customer classes.

Notes:  

• Before running the Period End Clear routine, print the Transaction Code Report.

• The quarter end option also clears the period end totals as well as, the quarterly totals.  If the Year End option is chosen, all period end totals and quarter end totals are cleared in addition to the year end work.

• The Year End option, in addition to clearing the period and quarterly totals, moves the YTD usage totals to last year's totals and then clears the usage YTD totals.

• Opening the Period End Clear routine, click More.

   

  • Click the following sequence:  Period End from the Menu Bar and Period End Clear.

  • Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [k] [c].

• At the prompt window, choose the selections.  To see the prompt options, click More.

   

  Period End Clear Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Services	To select the services to clear, click to check the appropriate services listed. Tip:  To quickly select or de-select all services listed, click Check All .
  Options	To choose a clear option, click to select the button. Entry Options: Period End - Clears the period totals. Quarter End - Clears the period and quarterly totals. Year End - Clears the period, quarterly and year-to-date totals after moving the year-to-date totals to the last year totals fields.
  	To start the Period End Clear routine, click Proceed or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p]
  	To escape without performing the Period End Clear routine, click Cancel. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT +c]
  	To begin printing to the Windows™ default printer, click Print, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p]
  	Important:  The following message alerts you when the Period End Clear routine is finished: ** Done **. To close the window, click Done or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + d]
