Images Menu

The Images menu contains commands to load and manage images (pictures) used by certain programs in INSight.

Tip:  The Images Menu does not appear on the Menu Bar unless you load a patient account.

About Images

A very powerful INSight feature is the ability to store one or more images linked to a specific record.  For example, you can store a picture of a patient or a picture of their insurance card as part of their patient or guarantor information.

Your original images should be stored on the computer or network in the JPEG format with the .jpg file extension  You can use a variety of sources to create the original images.  Some installations store images that are downloaded from a digital camera or scanner.  The Internet provides another source for images.

• You can manage images at the following windows:

• Patient Entry - Diagnosis Area in the Demographics Window

• Patient Entry - Insurance Policy Holder Area in the Insurances Window

• Patient Wizard - Add Patient Images Area

• Patient Wizard - Remove/Review Patient Images Area

• Patient Insurance Wizard - Add Insurance Images Area

• Patient Insurance Wizard - Remove/Review Insurance Images Area
   

• When you load an image into a program window, the program creates a copy of the original image, leaving the original image file intact.

• If you load multiple images into a program, INSight shows navigation buttons under the window so you can select the image you want see.

  Example:

  To see the previous image, click the Back Arrows << button. To see the next image, click the Forward Arrows >> button.

• To open the Images menu from the Menu Bar, click Images.
