Work Order Automation Settings Maintenance
Use Work Order Automation Settings Maintenance to specify the level of automation for each type of event that your organization uses. Levels of automation include disabled, manual and immediate. If you set a type of event to manual this means that when a mobile work order is completed the associated event will be recorded in the Automations area on the Service Management view, but the user is required to process it manually. The immediate mode will create the event in the Automations tab and will process the event immediately when a completed work order comes back from the field. The status of the Automation event will be set according to how it completed and the mode of automation - created, completed or needs review. The types of events that are available are described below.
Notes:
Do not confuse Automation with Work Order Actions. Automation is a separate function from Actions, which are a check list of tasks or workflow of things that need to be done manually after a work order is completed.
For more information about working with data in fields, see the Data Entry Guidelines.
