Use the Create New Budget routine to create a new budget.  This routine copies the basic budget data from another source, such as the current Chart of Accounts, history, or another budget.  You can create as many budgets as desired for any year.

Field Details by Step

Enter Budget Name

Assign a unique name to the new budget.

Create Budget From

Specify the source of the basic data for the budget.  You can create the basic data of a new budget by copying it from the current Chart of Accounts, history, or another existing budget.

Budget Information

Specify the method to use when creating the new budget.  You can create the basic data of a new budget by copying the balances from the Create From source data (current, history, another budget) exactly as it is, by marking it up by a percentage, by marking it down a percentage, or by zeroing out the amounts.

Specify Link Sequence

Specify the sort order by Account Element.
