Standard Maintenance Sub-menu

The Standard Maintenance Sub-menu contains programs used to manage files critical to operating INSight.  This includes procedures, diagnosis, insurances, remarks, providers, locations, groups, cities, and referrals.  The codes created in these maintenance programs are used to make daily work functions easier and may need to be changed frequently.  The codes are used during Patient Entry, Charge Entry, and Payment Entry and will also display on inquiries and reports.

ATB Category

Allows you to maintain information about the Aged Trial Balance Categories within your practice.

Charge Entry Preferences

City/State/Zip

Allows you to build codes for city, state locations commonly used.  These codes can be used where ever city, state address information is required.

Country

Maintain Country Codes and descriptions.

Department

Allows you to maintain information about each department within your practice including statical information relating to the department's performance.

Diagnosis

Allows you to maintain information about diagnosis codes and the specifically required format of those codes for each different insurance form type.

Employer/Lawyer

Allows you to maintain demographic information about employers in your area.  This information is used during Patient Entry.

Group

Allows you to maintain demographic and billing information for each group in the practice. as well as a running total of services performed and payments received by the group.

Insurance

Allows you to maintain insurance information for billing purposes.

Allows you to maintain information for every office, hospital or other place of treatment from which the practice provides services.

Allows you to maintain information about codes associated with, but are not, location codes. You should have an updated Place of Service List from each carrier that you bill to.

Allows you to maintain default information about the procedures for each of the form types you have set up.

Allows you to maintain demographic and billing information about each of the providers in your practice.

Allows you to maintain demographic information about doctors who referred patients to the provider including all of your Referring Physician codes, which will hold the referring providers UPINs.  Referrals are commonly used in Patient Entry.

Relationship

Allows you to maintain codes that describe the relationship between the patient and guarantor.

Allows you to maintain messages, appointment recall types, dunning messages, or remarks that can be used on bills.

Transaction Code

Type of Service

Allows you to maintain information about the codes that represent the types of services the providers perform.  Type of Service Codes are created and then entered on the procedure records. The insurance carriers determine Type of Service Codes.
