Liens Menu

The Liens menu contains commands used to process liens for customers. By definition a lien is considered a right over another's property to protect a debt charged to the property. Use the Liens programs to notify customers about seriously delinquent balances and to later transfer their delinquent balances to liens if you do not receive any payment, if applicable.

Liens Menu Items
Prepare Notice Workfile	Creates the workfile of customers to receive a 30-day notice or a lien letter for their delinquent balances. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [w]
Workfile Maintenance	Deletes individual customers from the lien workfile. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [m]

Generate Notice Cost Transactions	Creates a transaction file of 30-day notice cost transactions for customers with delinquent balances. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [n]
Generate Lien Transactions	Creates a transaction file of letter cost transactions and lien transactions for customers with delinquent balances. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [g]
Print Transaction Journal	Prints a journal of the generated 30-day notice cost transactions or the generated lien and lien letter cost transactions for customers with delinquent balances. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [p]
Transaction Entry	Allows you to edit the 30-day notice cost transactions or the lien and associated letter cost transactions before you perform the Liens Post Transactions routine. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [t]
Post Transactions	Updates the appropriate files with the customer 30-day notice cost transactions or the lien and letter cost transactions information. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [o]
XML Notice Letter	Prints the 30-day notices for customers. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [x] [ENTER]
XML Lien Letter	Prints the customer lien letters. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [x] [ARROW DOWN] [ENTER]
XML Mailing Labels	Prints customer mailing labels for their 30-day notices or their lien letters. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT] [p] [l] [x] [ARROW DOWN] [ARROW DOWN] [ENTER]
