Patient Wizards - Referral/Physician Area

Use the Referral/Physician Area to maintain the patient's Provider and Referral Codes, if applicable.  The table following the window example describes the Referral/Physician Area for the Patient Wizards.

To display the Data Entry Area for the Referral/Physician step:

  1. Follow the opening instructions for the appropriate Patient Wizard.

  2. Check-In New Patient Wizard

  3. Check-In Patient Wizard

  4. Patient Wizard

  7. Patient Policy Holder Wizard

  8. Register Patient Wizard

  9. Register New Patient Wizard

  1. Navigate to the Referral/Physician step.

Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for that field name.

Referral

Enter a defined Referral Source Code or free-type the name of the Referral Source. (up to 10 characters)

Notes:

  • To search for a Referral Code, click Search or press [CTRL + f].

  • To create a new Referral Code, click Fast Maintenance or press [CTRL + o].

Referral Name

If you entered a defined Referral Source Code as the Referral, the associated Referral Name displays for your reference.

Physician

Enter the defined Provider Code for the primary provider caring for this patient, if desired. (up to 4 characters)

Notes:  

  • To search for a Provider Code, click Search or press [CTRL + f].

  • To create a new Provider Code, click Fast Maintenance or press [CTRL + o].

Provider Name

If you entered a Provider Code, the associated Provider Name displays for your reference.

To display the previous step, click Back.

Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + b]

To display the next step, click Next or press [ENTER].

Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + n]

To validate and save the data for all of the Wizard steps, click Finish.  The Wizard window closes when the save is complete.

Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

To close the Wizard without validating or saving the data, click Close.
