Patient Wizard - Overview
Use the Patient Wizard to quickly and easily maintain existing patient information, or in some cases to add new patients. The Wizard guides you through each step of data entry in an organized manner. It also provides the flexibility to skip around among the steps. The table below describes each step for the Patient Wizard.

Enter the Patient Account Number. Tip: This step is sometimes handled automatically by the Wizard. |

Enter the patient's name, address, marital status and other demographic information. |
|
Enter patient contact information beyond that available in the Demographics Area. Additional contact information includes information such as the cell phone number, fax, email, and a contact person. |

Enter patient information such as employment status, student status, consent code and organ donor code. |
|
Enter miscellaneous comments about the patient. The comments field titles are user-defined, providing flexibility for your office. |

Enter up to three diagnosis codes for the patient. |
|
Enter disability and status information for patients with Workers' Compensation claims. |
|
Maintain fields that you can set up at the Workers' Compensation Control Record. There are three date fields and eight alphanumeric fields that you can tailor to your practice's needs |

Maintain patient-specific remarks used for billing purposes. |
|
Maintain the patient's Provider and Referral Codes, if applicable. |
|
Maintain information about who is financially responsible for the patient's account. The guarantor is the person responsible for the patient's account, and may or may not be the patient. Generally, the guarantor is the holder of the insurance policy and receives the private statements. Tip: You can launch the Patient Guarantor Wizard from here. |

Maintain employer information for the patient. This information is needed if the patient has a workers' compensation related illness or injury. Tip: The employer's phone number entered here displays as the Work Phone in several locations. |

View the list of up to six assigned insurances for the patient. Tip: From here, you can enter insurance information by launching the Patient Insurance Wizard. |

View or remove images from the patient's record, including scanned medical cards or the patient's photo ID. |

Add images, such as scanned medical cards or the patient's photo ID, to the patient record. |
