Use the Referral Authorization Window - Authorized Area to maintain the number of visits allowed for the referral and the number of visits used by the patient. The table following the window example describes the Authorized Visits Area for the Patient Entry - Referral Authorization Window.

Directions:

To display the Referral Authorization Authorized Visits Area, open the Referral Authorization Window.

Authorized Visits Area Example:

Referral Authorization Window - Authorized Visits Area Prompts Tip: To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
	To update the new or changed information, click Save, or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + s]
	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save the new or changed Authorization Number.
# of Visits Authorized	Enter the number of visits the patient is authorized to receive for this referral, if applicable. (3.0 numeric)
Remaining	When creating the Referral Authorization, enter the number of visits authorized. (3.0 numeric) Note: Depending on how INSight's Managed Care parameter is set, INSight updates Remaining during the Charge/Payment Post.
Amount Authorized	Enter the dollar amount authorized for the services associated with this referral. (7.2 numeric)
Amount Remaining	When creating the Referral Authorization, enter the amount authorized. (7.2 numeric) Note: Depending on how INSight's Managed Care parameter is set, INSight updates Remaining during the Charge/Payment Post.
